Johnson Hall Renovation - University of Oregon
johnson hall renovations and upgrades
RSA completed a renovation of the second floor of Johnson Hall to accommodate offices of Institutional Equity and Diversity, Academic Affairs, General Counsel and Research. The renovation included reconfiguration of office suites and construction of a new conference room. Of special importance was maintaining the original character and detailing of the original building as much as possible, including matching the wood trim. The project included upgrades to the mechanical, electrical, and telecom systems, as well as modifications to the elevator. The design team took care to maintain the historic significance this building holds on Campus. Other upgrades included modifications to emphasize the entry to the President’s Suite in the main hallway and renovation of the reception area and conference room. The new walls at the entry showcase existing stained-glass panels. The existing oversized wood door was relocated to the entry and glass was added to the door to provide a view into the suite.
