RSA developed a renovation plan for the North Bend Public Library after an extensive facility assessment and community engagement period. The renovation plan addressed the challenges uncovered in that process with a series of strategic updates, including waterproofing the building and installing new TPO roofing, reconfiguring interior layouts to improve sight lines, renovating the children’s and teen libraries to provide engaging spaces for high-use populations, upgrading finishes throughout, upgrading restrooms to be ADA compliant, and installing new energy-efficient lighting throughout the space. These renovations help preserve the character and community-centered mission of the North Bend Public Library while equipping it to better serve current and future generations. The result is a more inclusive, adaptable, and vibrant space that continues to inspire learning, connection, and creativity.
